Athleisure Look – Mama Edition

Athleisure outfits are super convenient – functionality of anything really is super important when you’re a mom and it’s a bonus that these outfits look fashionable too!

Quick story: our time here in Hawai’i is coming to an end unfortunately, so I see to it that I take my daughter out for a walk as much as possible. She loves being outdoors and she absolutely loves looking at the trees while she’s in her stroller. We usually stop at the beach in between our walk to let her stretch her little legs and arms out of the stroller. And because my baby is like me who gets hangry easily, I feed her for about 10 5 minutes before we head back home.

Here’s an athleisure outfit that I wore during our most recent walk. After our walked, I lounged around the house with this outfit although I did end up changing to a nursing bra. IYKYK.

I would wear this pullover sweatshirt early in the morning at the beginning of our walk and take it off once I get hot. It also helps hide my belly pouch! This high neck bra top from Alo Yoga makes me feel super fit even though I’m not as you can see – but it’s just really flattering and comfortable, really makes me feel confident in wearing it. It’s sold out but they have tons of other high neck bra tops. Oh and I’ve used this bra top as a swim top too! Finally, my favorite workout bottoms are these Adidas tights, they’re super stretchy that I was able to wear them at least up to my 26th week of being pregnant and, not gonna lie, I like that the logo is subtle.

Even as simple as going out for walks with my daughter really boosts my overall mood and happiness for the day. She’s not always going to be this small and I celebrate every moment we spend together – good and difficult times. And this is part of my journey in reinventing my style so being confident with how I present myself as her mama is truly one of my joys now.

Reminder: Don’t be scared to take care of yourself, it is absolutely important to be mentally, spiritually, and physically healthy in order for you to take care of your little ones. Or honestly, just this – self-love. We don’t have to forget ourselves when we become mamas. Balance is key and taking care of yourself the best way you know how is part of that balance.

You got this, mama!
